Northern Colorado Wildlife Center’s Social Media & Marketing Internship is a great opportunity for creative, mission-driven individuals interested in nonprofit communications and digital storytelling.
As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience creating content that highlights our wildlife patients, education programs, volunteers, and impact. You’ll support social media strategy, audience engagement, and fundraising and educational campaigns while learning best practices in ethical storytelling and mission-focused marketing.

General Overview
The mission of Northern Colorado Wildlife Center, a 501(c)(3) independent nonprofit, is to protect wildlife and the places they call home through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and advocacy.
Social Media & Marketing Interns will play a key role in sharing NCWC’s work with the community through digital storytelling, educational content, and outreach efforts. Interns will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, social media strategy, and mission-driven communication while helping amplify the stories of the wildlife, volunteers, and programs that make our work possible.
Responsibilities may include content creation, social media scheduling, audience engagement, and supporting fundraising and educational campaigns. This internship offers meaningful professional development in ethical storytelling, brand voice, and nonprofit communications, with opportunities to build a portfolio and gain real-world experience in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING INTERNSHIP
Basic Information
Location: Northern Colorado Wildlife Center, 2637 Midpoint Dr, Suite E, Fort Collins, CO 80525 (map)
Term Options:
8 to 12 weeks (Start Date: February 1st, 2026) (dates adjustable as needed)
Expected Commitment:
Full Time
30 to 40 hours/week
OR
Part Time
10 to 20 hours/week
This internship is primarily in-person. Occasional off-site hours may be required or allotted for flyer distribution, graphic design, etc.
Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. Academic credit may be available depending on institutional requirements. Housing accommodations are not provided at this time.
